WHATSAPP IS SET TO DISCONTINUE SERVICE ON SELECTED PHONES

WhatsApp is seven years old now and I am proud to be part of the journey since the inception of the instant messaging application. Another news is that the application now boost of one billion active users. The third news which is not very pleasant is that Whatsapp will be discontinued on BlackBerry and Nokia devices starting from the year 2017. And before you ask me, let me inform you that Blackberry 10 smart phones will be included.
WhatsApp’s announcement also includes to Nokia’s low-end S40 as well as S60 Symbian platforms and the older Windows Phone 7.1 and Android 2.2 operating systems. WhatsApp officially suggests “upgrading to a newer Android, iPhone, or Windows Phone” should you choose to maintain usage of the service.
With the increase in the popularity of it close competitor Telegram, a lot of blackberry, nokia Symbian and those wish older version of windows phone will have little option than to cross over to Telegram.
